(1) Reading this vituperator rant about hedonism in the UK in this week's New Yorker, I see that perhaps he isn't too far off base.(2) Whereas he has said nothing that amounts to hate speech, his vituperators routinely spew hate speech against him in the national media.(3) My method is merely to return to the vituperators the words of their own mouth as an antidote to their falsehoods.(4) In most cases, a cold dose of healthy public ridicule would quench the more volcanic vituperators and reason would be restored.(5) Even when the vituperators are women, they mostly fling profanities at themselves, not at their male relatives.
