(1) Flat or invaginated basalia are rare in genera in either family.(2) The base of the cuticular layer had a finely invaginated appearance.(3) Walls bend sharply from rounded part of hemisphere to flattened part, and then slope inward toward apparently invaginated aperture.(4) In some areas, the lining cells invaginated into the underlying fibrous tissue and appeared as glandlike structures.(5) In the present study, transversely fractured and thin-sectioned images indicate that the pigment granule membrane is invaginated .
