(1) It was also noticed that many areas of the labellum surface, especially the median region, are glabrous and smooth.(2) The regions of glabrous skin that have these epidermal ridges are especially richly supplied with cutaneous sensory nerves.(3) Fruits of this species are glabrous achenes, with sepals modified into plumose bristles and are frequently wind-dispersed.(4) There are two types of human skin - glabrous (without hair) and hair-bearing.(5) The essential oil from glabrous leaves consists mostly of a blend of several sesquiterpenes, of which germacrene-D and beta-caryophyllene are the major components.
