(1) In southwestern Florida, the water district is reportedly spending more than a billion U.S. dollars to come up with ways to meet the growing demand, including desalinizing ocean water.(2) We also know the desalinization is expensive and will cause marine pollution when the hot, briny residue is dumped back in the sea.(3) The island's location, in the doldrums of the Caribbean, forces it to rely on desalinized ocean water, which is very expensive.(4) We need more reservoirs and desalinisation plants, plus some visionary diversions of water from wet to dry areas, together with connecting pipelines.(5) This process is also known as desalinization , desalting or saline water reclamation.(6) The plan calls for petrochemical plants, along with power stations and desalinization plants that will sell their output to local customers.(7) But in reality if you add those costs, I believe the cost of water that you are drinking is higher than the desalinized water.(8) I'm more than happy we'll be drinking desalinized water rather than recycled water from the treatment plant.(9) Matters also are likely to become worse as new ways are found to exploit the seas, from power generation to ocean mining to cheap desalinization .(10) Does anyone know how I could buy desalinized water?
