(1) This was the weedmat that defeated my oxalis and couch grass.(2) Semi-tropical natives such as dahlias, gladioli, begonias, canna, caladium, elephant ears, oxalis and other tender summer-flowering bulbs will not make it through the winter outside of the warmest climate zones.(3) Ferns are especially handsome as accents among swaths of lower-growing plants such as sweet woodruff or oxalis or growing beside ponds.(4) If possible, weed the unwanted oxalis in flower beds rather than use a herbicide, which may damage or kill your more desirable plants.(5) Double-pot small plants or those that dry out quickly such as oxalis , laying in a layer of moist peat between the two pots.
