(1) according to the Koran, the kafir is characterized by his worldliness(2) Political parties have their own principles and policies which may not be acceptable to others but one does not become kafir by joining a political party.(3) Some scholars have even declared the Shi'ahs to be kafirs .(4) Even kafirs and mushriks would have civil rights as long as they do not cause any disturbances in society and maintain peace.(5) Thus was born Pakistan, whose sole purpose was to create an Islamic nation that would drive out kafirs and follow the Shariat path.(6) But, as Islam sees it, all non-Muslims are kafirs .(7) There is, most prominently, the old millennial struggle between Islam and the kafirs .
